A sealed original iPhone made from an early production run recently sold for $35,000 at an auction.
Based on the box design, this “iPhone” was among the first batch of original “iPhone” models to be sold in the first few months after the “iPhone” was launched in June 2007, as the home screen does not have an iTunes Store icon contains. The iTunes Store app was not initially included on the “iPhone” and was not added until a few months later with the release of “iPhone” OS 1.1 in September 2007. The design of the “iPhone” box was then updated to include the icon to add.
The listing offers no clues as to the condition of the actual “iPhone” in the box, but since it’s still sealed, it should be in brand new condition.
