GasLog Ltd (“GasLog”), the leading global provider of LNG shipping services, has purchased BASSnet’s end-to-end crew management software in a full Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for its office and fleet of 36 vessels.
The deal includes the modules BASSnet HR Manager (Crewing), Work & Rest Hours and Training & Drills, the BASSnet Crew Portal ‘self service’ mobile app and integration with travel companies for travel arrangements. The rich functionality of BASSnet was essential to close the deal. The Greek market leader was also impressed with BASSnet’s competency management and travel logistics features.
“BASSnet’s end-to-end process flow is of great value for holistic crew management,” said Mr. Konstantinos Karathanos, Chief Operating Officer at GasLog. “Because BASSnet can be used on multiple devices, from desktop to tablets to mobile, it provides a seamless workflow for all users, from shippers to office workers, seafarers and for travel logistics. BASSnet SaaS, securely hosted in the Microsoft Azure environment, gives users access anytime, anywhere. The self-service BASSnet Crew Portal mobile app also offers great benefits. We can now directly involve the crew, even when they are on the road, for effective management of crew processes.”
The BASSnet Crew Portal is a powerful crew app to view and track data on personal information, training activities, sailing schedules, travel arrangements, costs, claims, license and certificate expiration, and monitor compliance information.
“BASSnet makes crew management processes end-to-end efficient,” notes Per Steinar Upsaker, CEO & Managing Director at BASS Software. “Using our web-based system, office and ship workers can easily create two-way traffic for real-time benefits on board and ashore. We optimize and simplify crew management.”
“BASSnet HR Manager will definitely bring greater efficiency and productivity to GasLog by streamlining our crew management processes,” said Mr. Jose Milhazes, Business Process and Innovation Manager.
The BASSnet HR Manager SaaS solution offers significant benefits, including simplified crew management processes, from initial planning and competency management to crew changes, travel logistics and remote access to crew data.
The cloud hosting of the system provides significant savings in hardware management time and costs. GasLog also expressed its confidence in BASS, a leading provider of marine ERP solutions for over 25 years, to provide expertise and full professional services to complete the project on time and within budget.
This deal marks an important Greek partnership for BASS Software. The leading marine solutions provider is determined to expand its presence in Greece and is committed to serving the Greek market in the future.
