We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist with educational expertise to join our Education and Membership Directorate as the Assessment and Credentialing Lead. You must have a passion for developing and advancing the pharmacy profession and workforce to meet the evolving needs of patients and the healthcare system.
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) post-registration curricula and assessments are designed to change the way pharmacists’ practice is defined and safeguarded after registration.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Education & Professional Development, you will have the unique opportunity to work with senior pharmacists and wider UK healthcare stakeholders, leading to the successful implementation, delivery and ongoing review of our curricula and assessments . You will be responsible for ensuring that RPS curricula and assessments remain fit for purpose and aligned with UK pharmacy staffing policies and future patient and service needs.
Job Requirements:
- Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Postgraduate qualification in teaching and/or assessment or equivalent through experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading key pharmacy staff and/or educational initiatives, preferably on a regional and/or national scale
- Good understanding of best practices in curriculum and/or assessment design, preferably in the postgraduate or post-registration pharmacy landscape.
- Good working knowledge of (post-registration) pharmacy practices and education in the decentralized countries of the UK.
- Good understanding of the UK’s wider health and education policies and how they affect the pharmacist profession.
