B&G®, the world’s leading manufacturer of sailing electronics, has released a major software update for the summer of 2022 for its displays and instruments that offers several upgrades for sailors using the B&G Nemesis™ and Triton 2 Instruments and B&G Zeus™ multifunction displays .
The most notable improvement is that the new software provides load cell support on the Nemesis™ and Triton™ displays, enabling key information and data to be displayed on the graphing gauges.
“This new software version in our product range offers a number of new features. The new load cell support for Nemesis and Triton instruments is particularly noteworthy and supports the increasing demand for these products,” said Matt Eeles, Product Director for B&G. “The light control bar for Zeus MFDs is also an important feature, along with many other improvements and minor bug fixes to further support our users’ sailing experiences.”
To upgrade to the latest software version, users can download the update from bandg.com/support/software. For the Nemesis™ display, the software update can only be performed if the Nemesis display is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or via the wired Ethernet connection. For systems with multiple Nemesis displays all connected via Ethernet, this software update only needs to be performed on one device, and once this device is updated, all other Nemesis displays will automatically receive the update file.
The most important updates of the new software version per product:
B&G Account Login – Users can now use the single sign-on authentication method to securely and easily log in to their B&G accounts via the MFD.
NMEA 2000® RGBW Lighting – A new dedicated control bar allows you to adjust lighting colors and brightness and create scenes.
B&G Triton™ 2 System
New graphical gauge for load cell data – A new gauge is now available that can be configured on a page that allows load cell data to be displayed in a single graphical gauge with the current data value, the name of the load cell data and any warnings and critical alarm levels.
Context Modes – Following the recent addition of context modes in Nemesis™ screens, the new software update enables saved page context modes for Triton™ 2 screens, making important data available at times depending on the sailing point.
Enable load cell data on analog gauges – Load cell data can now be displayed on analog gauges on configured dashboards, giving the sailor more information
